I have been writing and publishing since the year 2000 and after stepping away from security operations and training; an industry I was in for almost twenty years previously. A former doorman and bodyguard with experience in the Middle East, Russia and Africa, I am now registered as a freelance writer with the National Union of Journalists (UK) and am a genre best-selling author of five non-fiction true crime books; Doing the Doors, Confessions of a Doorman, Bouncers and Bodyguards, Respect and Reputation (with prisoner Charlie Bronson) and The Mammoth Book of Hard Bastards, one biograph; Maria's Story, and one travel anthology; My Beautiful Bahrain. I have also written hundreds of articles for magazines and newspapers worldwide, have created and then sold two security industry trade magazines and have self-published a number of security industry specific manuals and trade directories.
